WHERE DID FLAGNOTIFY GO?
For 10 years FlagNotify has informed subscribers around the world when the U.S. flag should be flown at half-staff. It’s a complex task. You must monitor several federal websites, 50 state websites, plus Twitter feeds, Facebook pages, and more. It is a balance between being timely and accurate.
FlagNotify has been the passion of one-man, Pastor Mike Antici. Personally, I don’t know how he did it. It’s a lot more work than people think, but when you’re passionate about something, anything is possible.
Pastor Mike Antici is retiring and passing the torch to our organization Half-Staff Alerts. We have a team of five people who share the responsibility of monitoring over 100 websites, seven days a week, 24 hours per day. Over 160,000 subscribers depend upon us for timely and accurate U.S. flag status. Our subscribers include top government and military officials, business owners, communities, homeowners, and even hundreds of patriotic celebrities.
